They Lied, She Died, He Cried, He Died

The doctors were confident

She would be well again,

They lied.

Shrouded and bound

Alone in the morgue,

She’d died.

He loved her so much

Hoping he'd go first,

He cried.

He missed her every day,

She'd always been close

By his side.

He saw no point

Existing without her,

He sighed.

He took the easy way out

And overdosed,

He died.
