Life’s flotsam and jetsam.

Ebb and flow,

Vast open sea,

Superlative waves

Surge relentlessly,

Castaway souls,

Adrift and lost,

Life’s flotsam and jetsam.

Humanities cost.

Born on the uprush,

Destiny's dealt hand,

Generations adrift

Scattered casually by hand.

Life’s flotsam and jetsam.

on the shores of fate,

Tales unsubscribed

Considered whitebait.

Life desires unfulfilled,

Fragmented dreams untold,

Stories and echoes unsounded

Young, yet feeling old.

Broken pieces

forgotten hopes,

Life’s flotsam and jetsam.

Like a bobfloat on an ocean slope.

Life’s flotsam and jetsam.

Relics, their moments past,

Abandoned by memories

That didn't last.

Cast off and away

Singular circumstance,

Their souls just afloat,

In a periastron dance.

Minor paragraphs,

Unwritten, unread, unshared,

Life’s flotsam and jetsam.

No one bothered or cared.

In life’s chaos

The ocean scored,

Bodies lost from sight

Benevolence, unexplored.

Constraints and limitation

Curb dreams that set us free,

Life’s flotsam and jetsam.

Could we become future debris?

Hoping that in the wreckage,

Strength of mind persists and flies,

Belief in ourselves echoes

Under boundless skies.

In grandness

Of an expansive sea,

We may all be adrift,

Forever fighting to be free.

Let’s cherish and encourage

By singing an uplifting anthem.

Surf against the tide of life

Succour life’s flotsam and jetsam.

The children of the world deserve better.
